The event brought together key tourism stakeholders, members, partners, and industry leaders for an afternoon of reflection, celebration, and renewed commitment to sustainable tourism development in Uganda.<\/div><div>\u00a0<\/div><div>The AGM was graced by distinguished guests, including the CEO of Uganda Tourism Board (UTB), representatives from the Ministry of Tourism, Wildlife &amp; Antiquities, and officials from the Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA). Their presence highlighted the growing collaboration between government institutions and the private sector in shaping the future of Uganda\u2019s tourism landscape.<\/div><div>\u00a0<\/div><div><strong>Launch of the ESTOA Sustainability Charter<\/strong><\/div><div>One of the most significant achievements unveiled during the AGM was the ESTOA Sustainability Charter.<\/div><div>This charter marks a major step forward in strengthening responsible tourism standards across the industry. The collaboration positions ESTOA members at the forefront of eco-innovation within Uganda\u2019s tourism secto<\/div><div>\u00a0<\/div><div><strong>Honouring Excellence: Awards to Outstanding Lodges and Tour Operators<\/strong><\/div><div>A key highlight of the AGM was the recognition and awarding of outstanding lodges and tour operators that have demonstrated exceptional service quality, sustainability practices, and contributions to Uganda\u2019s tourism growth.<\/div><div>\u00a0<\/div><div>The awards celebrated excellence in areas such as eco-friendly operations, guest experience, community engagement, and wildlife conservation support. These recognitions serve as a motivation for the entire industry to strive for higher standards and responsible tourism leadership.<\/div><div>\u00a0<\/div><div><strong>Engagement With Sector Partners: UTB, UWA, and the Ministry<\/strong><\/div><div>The AGM provided a valuable platform for open dialogue and collaboration.<\/div><div>The Executive Director of UTB and representatives from UWA reaffirmed their commitment to working closely with ESTOA to promote Uganda as a premier sustainable destination. With groundbreaking initiatives such as the Sustainability Charter and strategic collaborations with partners like Eco Brix, UTB, UWA, and the Ministry, ESTOA continues to lead the way in shaping Uganda\u2019s sustainable tourism future.<\/div><div>\u00a0<\/div><div>We extend our appreciation to all members and partners who attended and contributed.
