Some members of the Exclusive Sustainable Tour Operators Association recently participated in the renowned Travel & Adventure Show in the United States, with valuable support from the Uganda Tourism Board and the Embassy of Uganda in the United States.
The ESTOA delegation attended two key editions of the show held in South Florida from 28th February to 1st March 2026, and in Los Angeles from 7th to 8th March 2026. These events brought together thousands of travel enthusiasts, tour operators, travel advisors, and industry professionals from across the world, providing an important platform for Uganda’s tourism sector to engage directly with the American travel market.
Promoting Uganda’s Unique Tourism Experiences
During the exhibitions, ESTOA members showcased Uganda’s diverse tourism offerings, including gorilla trekking, wildlife safaris, cultural experiences, and community-based tourism initiatives. Visitors to the Uganda stand expressed strong interest in the country’s iconic attractions such as Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home to the endangered mountain gorillas, as well as other adventure and nature-based experiences that make Uganda a unique destination.
The participation of ESTOA members highlighted the association’s continued commitment to promoting sustainable tourism practices while positioning Uganda as a leading destination for responsible and immersive travel experiences.
Strengthening Uganda’s Presence in the U.S. Market
The support from the Uganda Tourism Board and the Embassy of Uganda in the United States played a key role in ensuring a strong national presence at the shows. Their collaboration with ESTOA members helped create greater visibility for Uganda in one of the world’s largest outbound travel markets.
Through direct engagement with travel consumers, travel advisors, and media representatives, ESTOA members were able to build valuable relationships, increase destination awareness, and explore new opportunities for partnerships and bookings.
Advancing Sustainable Tourism
As champions of responsible tourism, ESTOA members used the opportunity to emphasize Uganda’s commitment to conservation, community empowerment, and environmentally responsible travel. Their participation also reinforced the association’s mission of promoting tourism that benefits both local communities and wildlife conservation.
